Saturday sees the second annual Science Slam taking place at South Street Theatre in Reading.
The event, adapted from Poetry Slams, and adopted in the UK after great success in Germany and Scandinavia, sees scientific researchers performing to a diverse, non-expert audience in an entertaining, engaging way.
Species identification underpins many scientific disciplines; which mushroom would you like to eat?!
Attendance on Saturday will guarantee a fresh outlook on some important biological, meteorological, and culinary issues. Including slams about our oceans, our blood, our diets, species identification, invasive species surveillance, and, of course, the main attraction, Powdery Mildew!
