A top law student at the University of Reading has been rewarded for her efforts with a prize from a Theale legal firm.
Divorce solicitor, Tony Roe, personally presented his company’s prize to a student at the University of Reading in July.
Felicia Oduntan, who has graduated with a first class honours degree in law, received the Tony Roe Solicitors’ Prize for the best performance in the Family Law final examination.
Ms Oduntan received a monetary gift and one week’s work experience with Tony Roe Solicitors, a specialist divorce and family law practice based in Theale.
Dr Thérèse Callus, associate professor, said, “In a long standing collaboration, Tony Roe has supported students at the School of Law, giving sessions on the practical implications of family law and advice on careers in private practice for budding young lawyers”.
“We are very privileged to receive such fantastic support from Tony Roe. It is so beneficial for the students to receive practical insights into the law they study, and the work experience offered in the Prize is an additional advantage for the Prize winner.”
Tony Roe said, “It is a great privilege to present the Family Law Prize personally to Felicia Oduntan. The School of Law is very well regarded and we have got to know well its excellent staff over the years. The quality of the prize winner is a testament to her hard work”.
“The links that local businesses and law firms, such as mine, enjoy with the University of Reading are extremely valuable and we hope to continue to build on them”.
