Ruvi Ziegler, as Chair of New Europeans UK (a citizens’ rights charity), spoke on 15 January 2025 at the inaugural meeting of the re-constituted All-Parliamentary Party Group on citizens’ rights (chair: Manuela Perteghella MP) where he presented the rationale for establishing overseas constituencies to represent British citizens living abroad (under the current model their representation is fragmented across the 650 territorial constituencies. The meeting also addressed the postal votes scandal, resulting in effective disenfranchisement of the majority of registered Britons living overseas.
