Between The Hague and Jerusalem

On 29 December 2023, South Africa brought a case before the International Court of Justice regarding Israel’s conduct in Gaza during the Israel-Hamas war, following the attack on Israel by Hamas on 7 October 2023.

On 20 May 2024 Prosecutor, Karim Khan KC asked the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al-Masri and Ismail Haniyeh, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

Ruvi Ziegler is a speaker at the event which will discuss international law and legal questions arising in the courts in The Hague.
