Problems accessing SAGE Journals

We’re currently having intermittent problems relating to proxy authentication with SAGE Journals. If you are trying to download an article and encounter the following error message

Failed to load PDF document’ or
The file is damaged and could not be repaired’,

use the following steps to workaround the access.

Steps:

  1. Click on this link to SAGE Journals
  2. Click on the Off-campus link to Sage Journals
  3. Next click ‘Institution’ then ‘Shibboleth’ in the top right corner
  4. Then select ‘United Kingdom – UK Federation’ and then ‘University of Reading’ from the list. You should then be prompted to login with your University username and password.

Avoid book overdue

The LRC will be closed from 22 Dec 2017 to 1 Jan 2018.

Please return your books before those dates if you don’t plan to use them.

If your books are due please renew them online (provided that your account is not blocked) at our LRC website. You will need your PIN to log in. Please enquire at the Information Desk if you don’t know what is your PIN.

Extended Opening Hours until Dec

The LRC will be having longer opening hours for certain days for the month of Sept until mid-Dec.

The extended opening hours will be as follows:

Day :

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (8.30am – 10pm)

Saturday (10am- 4pm)

Closed on Public Holidays.
