Staying Social – Making the most of your weekends

Text: Nights in #wellbeing, Image: DJ decks

Nights in are the new nights out. Done with family pub quizzes, anyone??

As important as it is to make and keep to your study timetable or exercise routines, it’s important we make time for virtual social plans too.

Let’s talk music.

Music is good for the soul and great for socialising. With live events, gigs and concerts being cancelled or postponed, musicians and artists have taken to shaking up our nights in online by streaming bedroom gigs and DJ nights – that’s certainly music to our ears!

Share the experience with friends on a video call and get yourself moving around the kitchen. Aspiring musicians take note – you could even host your own session like our very own students have done!

What’s more, with the chance to see such a variety of musicians, it could even stretch your music taste (or indulge a guilty pleasure without your mates knowing about it).  All that and keeping our pockets healthy saving on tickets too!

Get online and make your weekend plans something worth planning.
