The M4 is going to be closed in both directions between Junctions 10 (Winnersh) and 12 (Theale) for smart motorway work this weekend. The closure will start from after 8pm Friday 4 December and will be complete by 6am on Monday 7 December 2020. This maintenance is for major resurfacing work and for upgrades to the smart motorway.

The agreed motorway traffic diversion route eastbound for the weekend will follow through the A4 north east from junction 12, A33 south, B3270 east and A3290(M) south to junction 10. The diversion will be reversed for westbound traffic. The traffic wishing to join the M4 at junction 11 will be picked up by this diversion route.
