RUSU Leadership Elections: Create Change and Boost Your Career

Each year, Reading University Students’ Union elect Full-Time Officers, Part-Time Officers and Senior Reps who represent University of Reading students and make all aspects of student life the best they can be. If you want to create positive change for Reading students AND boost your career prospects, put yourself forward for a role in this year’s RUSU Leadership Elections.

There are three roles that you can run for:

Full-Time Officer

Reading University Students’ Union is led by 5 Full-time Officers. They are elected to make sure each and every student gets the most they can out of their time at Reading and loves their student experience. It’s also a paid role, with circa £20,000 salary.

Visit the RUSU website for more information on the Full-Time Officer roles.

Part-Time Officer

Diverse representation matters at RUSU – that’s why they support a voluntary team of 11 students in making sure every view is accounted for. Part-Time Officers work to defend and champion the rights of under-represented groups or issues. These roles are voluntary positions which last for one year and can be held alongside your studies.

Visit the RUSU website for more information on the Part-Time Officer roles.

Senior Rep

Undergraduate Senior Reps represent the student voice on matters affecting students within each school. They support and lead a team of Undergraduate Course Reps within each department. Senior Reps work to ensure the student voice is being heard by the University and positive changes are being made throughout every school.

There are 32 Senior Rep positions. Visit the RUSU website for more information on the roles and what’s involved.
