University of Reading students and staff are being invited to have their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccination without an appointment at Bulmershe School in Woodley this week.

The NHS Health on the Move COVID-19 vaccination bus will be visiting the school, in Woodlands Avenue, from 13:00-18:00 on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Friday 27 August; and 11:00-16:00 on Saturday 28 August.

Vaccines will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. There’s no need to book in advance, to have an NHS number or to be registered with a GP, although you are encouraged to bring along proof that you are over 18.

Parking will be available for those travelling by car. Alternatively, the school is served by Reading Buses number 13 and 14 services.

Those hoping for a second dose of the Pfizer vaccine must have had it as their first vaccination, and have allowed an eight-week gap since receiving their first dose. They should also bring their vaccine card with them.

Those needing second doses of the Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines can book through the NHS website

Anyone not able to get a jab on these dates can still book their first or second dose of the vaccine through the NHS website or find an alternative walk-in site.
