The Student Communications Team are currently looking for aspiring, enthusiastic content creators to join their 2023/24 team of UoR Student Life Content Creators.
What does the role involve?
The Student Communications Team communicate to current University of Reading students via a range of digital channels: The UoR Student app, Me@Reading Student, Essentials, UoR Student Life Instagram and Twitter, the UoR Student Life blog, a digital screen, and YouTube channel. The team shares a wide range of informative and interesting student topics, and this role will be crucial in showing life as a student, creating belonging, and showcasing the range of support and opportunities available to University of Reading students.
This exciting role will involve writing student-friendly blog content for our UoR Student Life blog, student takeovers via UoR Student Life Instagram, and outreach: promoting channels, initiatives and information including Me@Reading Student, The UoR Student app, UoR Student Life channels and the Essentials website.
You’ll be invited to attend termly training sessions to develop your written and digital communication skills, as well as skills such as content planning.
You’ll be part of a team of Student Life Content Creators, with the opportunity to collaborate on content with your fellow content creators on projects such as creating video content for campaigns and Instagram series.
You will have excellent written communication skills, good attention to detail, interest in diverse student topics, and be willing to record yourself and others for student takeovers. By using your experience as a student at The University of Reading you will help us to ensure that our content is engaging, accessible, timely and relevant for current University of Reading students.

How many hours will I need to work?
These roles are part-time flexible; you can choose your hours to fit alongside your other commitments, but our guideline is between four to eight hours per month. Please be aware that this role is for the 2023/24 academic year so will be unsuitable for those graduating before the end of the 2023/24 academic year.
