The University of Reading is fortunate to have a diverse culture of students and staff from all walks of life and places in the world. We are a truly international community of more than 5000 international students from over 140 countries, something we want to celebrate by bringing communities together.

Global Buddies is an excellent initiative step up by the University of Reading International Advisory Team – a programme of events to bring students together from a broad range of courses, countries and cultures, building communities and friendships within the University.

Past event themes have included Holi, the festival of colourChinese New Year and Loi Krathong.

Lockdown has meant the physical monthly cultural events have not been able to run, but now Global Buddies is going virtual from Tuesday 28th July 2020. Every Tuesday 11 am (UK time) and Thursday 2 pm (UK time), you will able to join events online. To find out what events are coming up, keep an eye on the Blackboard page and social media
