It’s been proven that taking part in musical activities releases endorphins and oxytocin, helps to energise our mood and provide an outlet for emotions. In fact, Sheffield University has an entire research unit dedicated to finding out about the links between music and wellbeing. From Monday 19th October Music at Reading will be returning to the University campus for the Autumn term.

Music activities are here for all students to enjoy, no matter what your subject is. We have a wide range of ensembles for you to get involved in; whether you’re an instrumental player, a vocalist or a pianist there’s always something to get stuck in to.

All music activities will begin in the week of 19th October with additional covid-secure arrangements in place, including limiting group numbers and extended social distancing.
