About the Digital Capabilities project

As part of the University’s Digital Strategy, the Digital Capabilities project will gather information on staff and students’ digital capabilities training and support needs, and produce an action plan to support the development of skills in future.

The term ‘Digital Capabilities’ refers not only to a set of skills which help us to use digital tools in the workplace and in society, but an approach to learning and adapting to the changing digital tools available to us. These skills support our approach to teaching and learning; collaboration and problem solving; and many other areas of our lives.

About the Action Group

The Digital Capabilities Action Group will support the project’s activities, and development of the action plan, until February 2025. The group will advise on activities, outputs, and proposals. It consists of representatives from a range of professional services including Library, TEL, DTS, Careers.

We are looking for 2-3 Academic colleagues to join the Digital Capabilities Action Group and attend monthly meetings. We would also like to create a wider group of consultants who are able to provide feedback on project developments via MS Teams and attend occasional meetings throughout the year.
