As part of the Digital Capabilities project we need you to tell us about your digital experience at the University of Reading!

This summer, we are running the Jisc digital experience insights survey. This is a national survey designed to find out more about the experiences of academic and professional service staff, considering how you use digital technologies in your work and teaching, as well as how you engage with key aspects of the digital environment provided by the University. Digital Capabilities affect all elements of our work, and whether you work primarily with students or staff, in teaching, support or operational roles, your feedback in this survey is vital to ensure that digital capabilites improvements support all colleagues across the University.

The University’s Digital Capabilities Project is undertaking research into digital skills, infrastructure and support. Your responses to this survey will inform the recommendations made by the final project, which will be shared with relevant teams and services. The insights survey will allow us to:

  • Find out how you use digital technologies in your work
  • Understand how you use our digital environment and services, and how they could be improved
  • Better understand how we can support your professional development, and target resources towards the issues that mater to you
  • Help you reflect on your own digital experience and highlight areas you may wish to develop further

There are two question sets – one aimed at academic staff with teaching responsibilities and another aimed at professional services staff across the University.

The survey will be open between Monday 8th July and Friday 9th August, and should take between 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous. Thank you for your comments.
