We are pleased to announce the launch of Jisc’s “Digital Accessibility: The Foundations” module, now available on UoRLearn for all staff. This short, ~20 minute digital learning module provides a foundational understanding of digital accessibility, outlining UK public sector regulations, global standards, and the University’s responsibilities.

The course covers essential topics, including the definition of digital accessibility, legal requirements in the UK, and the roles and responsibilities that support compliance. By completing this module, staff members will gain a clearer understanding of why digital accessibility is important, how it impacts our daily tasks, and its benefits for everyone in our community, especially our students and colleagues.

This module is an important resource for all University staff, as we all share a responsibility to create accessible digital content and add to the already existing digital accessibility learning modules on UoRLearn:
