What do I neEduroam logoed to know?

The Eduroam Wi-Fi security certificate is being renewed at 6pm on Tuesday 9th December 2025. When you are next on campus after this, you need to apply the new certificate before you can connect to Eduroam.

What do I need to do?

The first time you are using Wi-Fi on campus after the certificate change, you will need to “forget” the Eduroam Wi-Fi network on your device and then re-join Eduroam, re-entering your username and password (particularly iOS users).

New certificate details

If you get a message e.g. “Do you want to accept this new certificate” or similar, please accept the new certificate, checking that the details match below.

Issuer name: Sectigo Public Server Authentication CA OV R36
Organisation: The University of Reading

You can download the new certificate after 8pm on 9th December from Eduroam. Go to https://cat.eduroam.org/ to get a new certificate for your device. If you wait until you are on campus, you may need to use mobile data if you have no other connections available to you. Instructions for this can be found at rdg.ac.uk/wifi.
