A new book titled Scribal Culture in Ancient Egypt, written by Niv Allon and Reading University’s own Hana Navratilova, has recently been published by Cambridge University Press.
This book, which is part of the seriesĀ Elements in Ancient Eqypt in Context, seeks to characterize the scribal culture in ancient Egypt. The book draws upon texts, material objects, and archaeological evidence, and aims to build on current discussions in literacy, as well as literary and social history.
